names that consumers recognize at the same time we're making significant upgrades,
we're confident that even more people are going to be attracted to these great
products in the future," Fields added. Ford's best-selling model Ford Taurus, when
introduced in 1985, was a milestone in automotive design. The name Taurus is
powerful, even today. Taurus is one among the top three most recognized Ford
nameplates.

Replacing the Ford Five Hundred, the 2008 Taurus sedan will be launched for sale
this summer. The refined Taurus features a new all-wheel-drive system, a freshened
exterior design, a new powertrain with 60 more horsepower and additional standard
safety features like standard electronic stability control.

The 2008 Taurus X crossover will hit the markets late this summer, taking the place
of Ford Freestyle. With the unchanged design, Taurus X also boasts powertrain and
safety upgrades, three rows of seats that can hold seven passengers, one-touch
flip-and-fold second-row seating an available power rear liftgate.

Another 2008 model that also goes on sale this summer, replacing the Mercury Montego
is Mercury Sable. Mercury Sable 2008 will feature an exceptional design, powertrain,
safety upgrades, Mercury's signature satin aluminum waterfall grille, jeweled
projector beam headlamps, distinctive LED tail lamps and a two-tone interior trim
with unique accents. Cyber Carbon - a deep, high-gloss accent resembling carbon
fiber is optional.
